In early July, Sarah trained the California Democratic Party Computers & Internet Caucus on new media. Sarah was inducted in June as a Fellow at the Truman National Security Project, where she is expanding her understanding of global affairs, particularly related to cybersecurity.


In May, Sarah joined the Advisory Board for the New Leaders Council Silicon Valley chapter and the Advisory Board of Pinchd, a San Francisco based social media company. She also joined the Board of Tomcat Films, where she is helping produce innovative films about global issues and new media.


Sarah served on the program committee for Gov 2.0 Expo in Washington D.C.. She was featured on Gov 2.0 Radio in early March, and in February, Sarah facilitated a session at the Gov 2.0 Camp LA. She wrote a feature for GovFresh in June listing over 100 women working on e-gov projects in the U.S..

In late April, Sarah was part of the Junior Leagues of California State Public Affairs Committee delegation that sponsored Assembly Concurrent Resolution 105, designating May as Perinatal Depression Awareness Month in California. She is proud to have helped pass this important bipartisan statewide legislation.


Sarah began a four year term in January serving on the U.S. Association for Computing Machinery Public Policy Council (USACM) where she provides expertise on national legislation relating to technology in areas of cybersecurity, digital government, and electronic privacy.
